Athena von Abstatt is a gorgeous 4 year old German Shepherd. She is  ready to be your devoted and loyal friend, but she asks that you please not invite any cats in. This lovely girl was neglected in her previous home, but we are seeing her beginning to blossom. She comes out of her kennel a bit unsure and needs a little time to adjust to new places, which is understandable as she may not have been exposed to much. She will settle down next to you to get her share of petting, and she takes her treats very gently.  Around other dogs, she does wonderfully. She walks well on a leash and seems more comfortable when strolling with a group of buddies. In playgroups, this mid-energy lady becomes even more relaxed and greets other dogs easily, with her tail wagging. Athena is more than ready for some tender loving care and companionship!
